  • RISD industrial design and a local land trust in southern Providence got up a team to launch a community garden for self-help of immigrant families in the area.
As a teaching assistant of the project, I encouraged the students to interact with the community to make a substantial change. In order to provide more benefits for the people, a series of programs, including invitation to the garden, education of the community, and group activities, was created. The students also designed special vehicles for delivery and sales of the locally grown produce.
